Your Polynesian Luau experience begins with a lei greeting and arts and crafts. This acclaimed luau features the traditional unearthing of the "imu" (pit-steamed pig) that takes place at the "Halau" on the hotel's grounds. Following the feast, Tihati's Spectacular Polynesian Revue takes you on a musical journey of the South Pacific Islands ending in Samoa with the exciting fire knife dance. Aston Kauai Beach at Makaiwa offers the following bar: Cook's Landing - This open air lounge overlooks the pool and Waipouli beach. The decor features tropical woods from Bali and the South Pacific. As the name implies, the room is themed around Captain James Cook who discovered Hawaii in 1778 on his voyage from Tahiti to Alaska.
