20 minutes from Virgin Gorda Airport to Gun Creek Harbor, then 6 minutes by boat to resort Biras Creek Resort is located on a strip of land between two hills on a 140-acre peninsula. It can only be reached by boat. The property touches three distinct bodies of water: the enormous protected lagoon of North Sound, the open Atlantic Ocean, and a Caribbean bay -- a paradise for swimming, sailing, and snorkeling, at the edge of the resort's private white sand beach. Biras Creek Resort offers the following restaurants: Hilltop Restaurant - The restaurant and terrace bar are at the highest levels giving breathtaking views of the Sound through its "open walls". In the evening, diners sit at candle-lit tables, looking out over the sunset, selecting from an award winning cuisine menu and an excellent selection of wines. Open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Fat Virgin's Café and Treasures - This eatery is highly recommended for having a snack, a drink or just a coffee, sitting on the water front or doing some browsing in the Gift Shop. Biras Creek Hotel guests can charge here against their room. Weddings - Biras Creek Resort
Biras Creek, one of the most romantic resorts in the world, offers couples the perfect wedding in one easily arranged package. The Tropical Wedding Package includes a marriage license/stamp, registrar's fee, bride's bouquet, wedding cake, champagne, and photographer (couples receive a CD with photographs). Other options such as videotaping, live music, balloons, wedding arch, hair and beauty services are available for an additional fee. Couples can choose from a selection of romantic wedding settings including several terraces overlooking the North Sound, the beach at Deep Bay, or in our extensive gardens. A wedding gazebo can also be set up where ever the bride and groom desire. Application Process: The bride and groom must apply in person for a BVI marriage license at least three business days prior to the ceremony and will be escorted by our wedding coordinator. Applications must be filed at the Registrar's Office in Tortola, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9am and 4pm (except holidays). The Registrar will then confirm the date and time of the ceremony. Documentation Requirements: Applicants must present the following documentation to the Registrar. All documents must be originals (or certified copies) and in English. 1. Passport (with BVI entry cards) 2. Divorce Decree (if applicable) 3. Death Certificate of former spouse (if applicable) 4. Proof if your name has been changed by deed poll Ceremony: The ceremony usually takes place during the day. Early morning or sunset weddings can be arranged for a small extra fee (to cover additional transport costs for the Registrar or Pastor). The Registrar or Pastor will come to Biras Creek and hold the ceremony in a place selected by the couple -- the beach, the villa, a terrace balcony, or the gardens. In the absence of friends or relatives, two Biras Creek staff members will act as witnesses. The Tropical Wedding Package should be requested at the time of booking your resort stay.
