He spent nearly 20 winters at this idyllic spot and penned 14 of his famous 007 thrillers there. This hideaway is now available as an Island Outpost resort. Goldeneye is a 15-acre hideaway on a bluff between the sea and a lagoon. You can stay in Ian Fleming’s original three bedroom house surrounded by luxurious gardens, or in one of three forest-shaded one to three bedroom villas overlooking the sea. You can even rent the entire property as one unit: all 15 acres, the Fleming house and the villas for a special occasion or event. It’s the perfect choice for guests who value luxury, seclusion, romance and adventure. Room Categories and Descriptions - Goldeneye Room amenities include batik fabrics and mosquito netting in the bedrooms, molded sinks, outdoor tubs, plush cotton bathrobes, assorted books, CD player with Palm Pictures CD library, direct dial phones, and air conditioning. Children Policy: Children 12 and under at a reduced rate, when sharing room with 2 paying adults. The Ian Fleming House - Three bedrooms with private indoor and outdoor bathrooms, including claw foot bathtubs and shower platforms all surrounded by bamboo fencing and tropical foliage; a cut stone courtyard and lily pond with exotic fish; a large living room area including large bamboo couches & four-poster beds. Large louvered windows and high ceilings encourage the flow of sea breezes throughout the house, while air conditioning is available in the bedrooms. The master bedroom features Ian Fleming's original writing desk, where Fleming created James Bond and penned his well-known adventures. Maximum Occupancy: 6 adults or 4 adults with 2 children. Villa One - Named Honey Chile compromising one large bedroom with a queen size bed, living room, and indoor bathroom facilities w/ outdoor bamboo shower. A separate living, dining and kitchen area open onto a secluded cut stone patio adjoining the private cove. Maximum Occupancy: 2 adults. Villa Two - Called Tiffany Case and Domino, two-story stone and wood villa. Upstairs is two large bedrooms and downstairs is a comfortable lounge area with a well stocked bar, TV, stereo, board games and indoor bathroom. Maximum Occupancy: 4 adults or 2 adults with 2 children. Villa Three - Romanova, Vesper and Solitaire are individual villas with access to a covered communal dining area and bar, and an entertainment area with video and satellite TV facilities. Maximum Occupancy: 6 adults or 4 adults with 2 children. Specific bedding and/or special requests are fulfilled based on availability and cannot always be guaranteed.
