French Side
The French side of the island of St. Martin is much quieter and more secluded than the more touristy Dutch half of the island. Known as "France in the tropics" French St. Martin boasts some of the best cuisine in the Caribbean, with quite a few good bistros and restaurants. Marigot, the capital, also boasts fantastic and sophisticated shopping and sightseeing opportunities.
